The Norway United Methodist Church was established in the mid-19th century in Norway, IL. It was struck by lightning in the 20th century and has been without a steeple ever since.
As the congregation nears its goal of raising enough money to fund a new steeple, I was asked to visualize a design based on the Scandinavian "stave" churches.
Below is the stave steeple, designed and modeled with Maya. Another design, based-upon the first, was composited into a photograph of the Norway United Methodist Church, to help make the steeple installation a reality.
